About Philip Rubinoff Artworks...

I began creating art using pictures-in-motion in the mid 1980s, while working in a video production studio. Using special-effects generators driven by hi-tech computers, I became completely captivated by the artistic images appearing on my monitors. I decided to explore just how far I could push the parameters of this creative outlet.

I continued to redefine my artform through the 1990s, dedicating all my time to it's development. It is now the 21st century and the technology continues to outdo itself! The potential for creativity is limitless.

I approach my work in the following way:

I view moving pictures (video or live camera) to find, capture and save individual frames;
I feed those frames through various computer-based effects, altering each image in a myriad of ways, from colouring to digitizing, from impressionizing to abstracting, from blending one image with another, to stretching .......... one's imagination.

This is today's New Art .......... It's DIGITAL ART.

Enjoy the experience.
